A huge thank you to Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort for sponsoring this post. All opinions and experiences are honest and my own.
Where to Stay?
It can be overwhelming when you start looking into where to stay on a trip to Disney World. There are a million hotel choices in Orlando! On, off or in close proximity to the Disney properties. I chose the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort because it’s just steps away from Disney Springs, has constant transportation to all four Disney parks. As a bonus, Wyndham is an official WDW hotel, it’s up-to-date with an amazing pool area and multiple restaurants. My family and I stayed for 6 days/ 5 nights and I am going to share why I would choose the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort over and over again for our Disney World family vacation!
Off disney property without FOMO (Fear of missing out)
The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort is off Disney World property, but you won’t be missing out on any part of the Disney experience! There is a Disney gift store in the lobby, an official character breakfast with Goofy and Pluto, and many other Disney-themed things throughout the resort. When you’re ready to go to Disney Parks there is a shuttle every thirty minutes during park hours.
If you don’t know what Disney Springs is you’re not alone. Disney Springs used to be called “Downtown Disney,” but it’s been re-branded and completely redone (it’s amazing!) There are over 50 dining options and 100+ shops! Not to mention there is always live music and free entertainment going on! It feels like an extra Disney Park (that’s free to enter!)
There are three things that are ‘must-haves’ when it comes to choosing a hotel:
- Bright/natural light and clean rooms
- White sheets, pillows, and comforters
The Wyndham LBV meets (and exceeds) all three of these categories.
After walking 15,000 steps around a Disney Park with two toddlers in 97 degree heat nothing was more magical then crawling into a comfortable bed and catching some z’s!
Also, note how reasonably priced Wyndham LBV rooms are! When comparing both rooms not involving the price I would choose the design and updates the Wyndham LBV has to offer over the other!
Oasis Aquatic Pool
Whoever designed this pool deserves a gold star! My toddlers would have never left this pool if it was their choice. At the Wyndham LBV Resort there are actually two pools and a hot tub. One of the pools is a zero entry with a playground and sprayers (this was Vivan’s favorite spot!) The pool continues to get deeper and has a rock waterfall in the middle of the “deep end” which is around 5ft deep (this was Henry’s favorite!) The other pool was a more traditional swimming pool with stairs, but was still an awesome option to swim. This spreads out the evening ‘post-park’ crowd who are trying to cool down. The pool is open till 11pm which was amazing for after a late dinner or a day at the park!
