Dining Room for a Family – Decisions, Decisions
I’ve been looking at re-doing our family dining room area for awhile now. I’m so indecisive, it’s a real problem! I love looking at different styles and choices of home decor and furniture which doesn’t help my indecisiveness (either does Pinterest!)
Just like everyone and their mothers, I’m obsessed with the modern farmhouse style. AKA “fixer-upper” look-a-like style. When looking at these banquettes they called my name. Grey, Beige, and “Greigh” are in my comfort zone and oh boy! Do I love those colors.
My main goal is to create a dining room that is kid-friendly, but doesn’t lose any style. One of my ideas to accommodate the kiddos is a banquette style seating on one side of the table. Three or even four small toddlers and children can sit on one banquette (depending on size) versus the norm of having two chairs. This will also help with space as we don’t have a huge dining room area and a banquette can be against a wall and still look right for that space. Below are my favorite banquette benches I’ve come across.
Now can you see why it can be so difficult to make a decision? Way too many beautiful banquettes! Next up, dining room table, chairs, and lighting… One step at a time.
